The Opportunity
This is a staff RN opportunity inside a nationally recognized cardiac program in Hudson, Florida — a high-volume, Level II Trauma Center that has performed over 100,000 procedures and operates one of the most respected Heart Institutes on the Gulf Coast. If you are a Cath Lab RN looking for the kind of case volume and clinical depth that genuinely advances a career, this role delivers it.
The schedule is full-time days with rotating weekends. On-call coverage runs 7 to 9 calls per month, every third or fourth weekend, with call hours from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM. One opening is currently available.
This facility carries the physician depth — more than 350 on staff — and the patient volume that set it apart from comparable programs in the region. The cardiac and open-heart program was a regional first, and the scope of work here reflects that history. Compensation is competitive based on experience, with a $4.75/hour shift differential for on-call coverage.
Candidates must hold an active Florida RN license or compact licensure with Florida licensure completed within 60 days of hire. A nursing diploma or ASN is required; BSN is preferred. AHA BLS certification is required, and ACLS must be obtained within six months of hire or transfer. One to three years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience is required. Candidates with a strong cardiac background in ICU or PCU will be prioritized.
If this fits where your career is headed, reach out directly or book a short call. We will walk you through the details and move quickly.

The Package
Why Hudson?
Hudson, Florida sits along the Gulf of Mexico roughly 45 miles north of Tampa — a stretch of Pasco County coastline that trades the congestion and price tags of South Florida for something genuinely livable. The Gulf here is calm and warm, making it ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing year-round. Weeki Wachee Springs State Park and Crystal River are practically next door, offering freshwater springs, manatee encounters, and some of the best natural diving in the state. Add in Anclote Key, Werner-Boyce Salt Springs, and easy access to Gulf islands, and you have a region that rewards people who want to spend time outdoors.
The cost of living runs below the national average, and Florida's zero state income tax means every dollar of your paycheck goes further than it would in most states. The Tampa metro is close enough for major airport access, professional sports, concerts, and big-city dining, but Hudson and the surrounding Nature Coast keep a pace that families tend to settle into and stay. Pasco County has invested steadily in schools, parks, and infrastructure over the last decade, and the area has grown in a way that adds services without losing its character. For clinicians considering a move, this part of Florida offers real quality-of-life upside: warm winters, outdoor access all year, and housing costs that are still genuinely reasonable.
