The Opportunity
This is a rare chance to step in at the ground level of a brand-new Cardiac Cath Lab service line — not to maintain someone else's legacy, but to build something from the start. As the Nurse Manager, you will have direct oversight of a two-room, state-of-the-art lab within a 317-bed acute care hospital, reporting straight to the C-Suite. The scope covers the Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Lab, Electrophysiology, and Pre/Post Holding Unit. If you are a CVL leader who wants real visibility and a role with genuine trajectory, this one is worth a close look.
The position is full-time days with no weekends — one opening, permanent placement. You will lead a team of RNs and CVL Techs, managing day-to-day operations, department planning, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance, while serving as the clinical and operational liaison across physicians, administration, and patients.
A sign-on bonus is available, as is relocation assistance. Compensation is competitive based on experience. The health system behind this facility is one of the most well-resourced in the country, which means consistent capital investment in services, equipment, and staff development. You are not walking into a stagnant department — you are walking into a service line the organization is actively expanding.
To be considered, you will need an active Florida RN license or a recognized compact license that meets Florida state requirements, a BSN from an accredited nursing program, and current BLS and ACLS certifications (or the ability to obtain both within 30 days of your start date). Clinical experience requirements are a minimum of three years in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting within an acute care environment, plus at least two years of CVL leadership at the Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager level, or above.

The Package
Why Tamarac?
Tamarac sits in the heart of Broward County, flanked by Fort Lauderdale to the east and Coral Springs to the north. It is the kind of place that draws people for the lifestyle and keeps them for the stability. The Atlantic beaches are about twenty minutes away. The Florida Everglades and its expansive recreational access are a short drive west. In between, you have golf courses, parks, walking and biking trails, and a dining scene that reflects the cultural depth of one of the most diverse metro corridors in the country. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport connects the area to major hubs nationwide, making both professional travel and weekend escapes straightforward.
For families, Broward County offers a wide range of public and private school options and consistently ranks among Florida's stronger school systems. The cost of living is competitive relative to other South Florida markets, and Florida's complete absence of a state income tax gives your compensation real-world purchasing power that simply does not exist in most high-tax states. Tamarac itself has a strong community identity — established neighborhoods, a genuine local culture, and a pace of life that makes relocating here feel less like a gamble and more like a deliberate upgrade. If warm weather, outdoor access, and a metro area with serious amenities are on your list, Broward County checks every box.
