The Opportunity
Lead surgical services at a 380-bed acute-care facility on Florida's Treasure Coast. This director-level role carries real operational scope — 13 ORs, 2 endo suites, and 30–35 cases running daily across service lines that include orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, GYN oncology, urology, vascular, ENT, podiatry, general surgery, and pediatrics. Three da Vinci Xi robots are on the floor, and the facility holds a Level II Trauma designation. For a surgical services leader ready to operate at the top of their field, this is a meaningful platform.
One permanent position is available. Full-time days, no weekends. You'll oversee 3 direct-report managers and 120 FTEs, with a reporting line that runs directly to the hospital COO. That kind of organizational proximity means decisions move — and you're the one steering them.
Compensation is competitive based on experience. A 17.5% director bonus is built into the structure, with 150% upside potential. Relocation assistance is available. The health system operates at national scale with the capital backing and infrastructure to support clinical investment, staff development, and long-term career growth.
Active RN licensure is required. A BSN is required; an MSN is preferred. Candidates must bring recent, direct experience in a Surgical Services Director role. Strong command of perioperative operations, staffing and workforce management, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship is expected. Experience in a high-volume, multi-service-line environment is a clear advantage.
If this lines up with where you are in your career, the conversation is confidential and straightforward. Apply now or book a call — we'll have the full picture ready for you.

The Package
Why Fort Pierce?
Fort Pierce sits on Florida's Treasure Coast, where the Atlantic coastline runs for miles and the pace of life still feels like it belongs to the people who live there. The city offers direct beach access, a working waterfront with a genuine maritime culture, and a downtown corridor that has grown without losing its identity. Fishing, boating, kayaking, and water sports are woven into the daily routine here — not weekend escapes, but a regular part of life. The St. Lucie Inlet and the Indian River Lagoon frame the geography, drawing outdoor enthusiasts year-round. Florida's subtropical climate means warm winters and long stretches of clear weather, making outdoor living a default rather than a luxury.
For families, Fort Pierce offers solid school options, a cost of living that runs meaningfully below both national averages and most comparable coastal Florida markets, and the kind of community scale where people actually know their neighbors. Florida has no state income tax, which adds real weight to any compensation calculation. The city sits roughly 90 minutes north of Miami and under two hours from Orlando — far enough to live without the congestion and inflated real estate of those markets, close enough to access their airports, culture, and amenities on your own schedule. Home prices here still reflect genuine value. It is a place people move to and build their lives, not a place they move through.
