The Opportunity
Senior CVOR Surgical Technologists who thrive on complex, high-acuity cases will find this one worth a serious look. A 585-plus-bed acute care facility in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking one Tier 3 CVOR Tech — a senior expert designation that puts you at the center of the most demanding cases in the OR. This is not a generalist position. The expectation is that you are the go-to in the room, the mentor, and the one called when the case is high-risk.
One opening is available. The schedule is days with rotating weekends on a standard 40-hour work week. On-call is required, and candidates must live within 30 minutes of the facility. Shift differentials of $3.00 per hour apply to nights, weekends, and on-call hours.
The system behind this facility is one of the largest hospital networks in the country, and the benefits package reflects that. Comprehensive medical coverage includes many services at no cost, prescription drug and behavioral health benefits, free telemedicine, and free AirMed medical transportation. The 401(k) carries a 100% match on 3 to 9 percent of pay based on years of service, with an Employee Stock Purchase Plan available at a 10 percent discount. Education assistance, tuition support, and certification coverage are on the table. Additional programs include fertility and family building benefits, adoption assistance, paid family leave, short- and long-term disability, and an Employee Health Assistance Fund offering free coverage to colleagues based on income. Compensation is competitive based on experience. Sign-on is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Relocation assistance is negotiable.
Candidates must bring seven years of CVOR and endovascular/hybrid OR tech experience. You must be able to perform as the lead across CVOR, Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, Burn, and Vascular Surgery. A minimum of two years in a comparable facility with similar services is required. Graduation from an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians is expected, along with either a CST credential from the NBSTSA or a TS-C from the NCCT. BLS must be current within 30 days of start.
If your background lines up and you want to talk through details on a confidential basis, reach out directly or book a call. One seat is open and responses are prioritized.

The Package
Why Kansas City?
Kansas City sits at the geographic center of the country, which sounds like a compromise until you spend time there. The metro area ranks consistently among the most affordable major cities in the United States, with housing costs well below the national average and commute times that most large markets can't match. The food culture has earned genuine national recognition, and the city has built a real identity through the Crossroads Arts District, a historic jazz corridor, and a downtown that has seen sustained reinvestment over the past decade. Professional sports, live music, and a growing culinary and craft scene give Kansas City an energy that catches people off guard the first time.
For healthcare professionals weighing a long-term move, Kansas City offers a stability that makes relocation feel like a deliberate decision rather than a gamble. Suburbs like Leawood, Overland Park, and Lee's Summit consistently place among the highest-ranked school districts in the state, and outdoor access — lakes, trails, and regional parks — runs deeper than most newcomers expect. The metro is genuinely commutable, with most neighborhoods sitting within 20 to 30 minutes of the major medical corridor. If you want a city where your paycheck stretches, your commute doesn't wear you down, and there is actually a life to build outside the hospital, Kansas City tends to exceed what people come in expecting.
