The Opportunity
This is a full-time, permanent CVOR Surgical Technologist opportunity at one of southeast Georgia's most active cardiac programs. Two dedicated heart OR suites, roughly 1,000 cardiac and thoracic cases per year and growing — the breadth of procedure exposure here is real. The team handles the full range of cardiac and thoracic cases, everything short of transplant, which means you are working across a meaningful volume of high-acuity surgical cases every shift.
One opening is available. The schedule runs 10- or 12-hour shifts starting at 6:30, days with rotating weekends. On-call is part of the rotation and dependent on the individual schedule request.
A $15,000 sign-on bonus comes with this position. Relocation assistance is negotiable. Shift differentials add $3.15 per hour on evenings and $4.00 per hour on nights, with an additional $5.00 per hour for on-call. Compensation is competitive based on experience. The role sits within an established cardiovascular surgery program with dedicated CV coordinator and director leadership — a team structure that supports both the clinical work and long-term professional growth.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited surgical technology program and hold a current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential. One to two years of CVOR-specific experience is required. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required prior to start.
If your background fits, reach out directly. A short, confidential conversation is all it takes to find out whether this is the right move.

The Package
Why Savannah?
Savannah, Georgia is one of the most livable cities in the American South — and genuinely one of the most underrated. The historic district is anchored by 22 oak-shaded public squares, a walkable waterfront along the Savannah River, and a food and arts scene that draws visitors and transplants from across the region. It is a city with real character, the kind built over centuries rather than designed in a planning meeting. For anyone relocating from a higher cost-of-living market, the value here is immediate and noticeable.
Outdoor access is a core part of daily life in Savannah. Tybee Island sits roughly 20 minutes to the east, putting legitimate Atlantic beach within easy reach on any day off. Hilton Head is a short drive north across the state line, and the lowcountry landscape around the city — marshes, tidal creeks, moss-draped live oaks — offers kayaking, fishing, and hiking year-round. Families will find solid public and private school options, a manageable commute, and neighborhoods that feel established and rooted. Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport connects the city to major hubs without the congestion of a large metro, and I-95 puts both Jacksonville and Charleston within two hours. For a clinician looking to build a life somewhere that offers career stability alongside genuine quality of living, Savannah is a serious option.
