The Opportunity
A permanent, full-time opening for an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab RN in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a multi-modality lab running the full procedural range — cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, structural heart procedures including TAVR and LAAC, endovascular cases, neuro diagnostics, interventional radiology, and more. Three active rooms averaging four to six procedures per day. If you are a Cath Lab RN looking for procedural depth and real clinical volume, this is that role.
One position available. The schedule is 12-hour days, 7:00a to 7:30p, with weekend and holiday call built into the rotation. On-call runs approximately eight to ten days per four-week period, and candidates must be within 30 minutes of the facility. This is a direct-hire, permanent placement.
This position comes with a $25,000 sign-on bonus. The compensation package also includes shift differentials for evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call hours, plus certification pay for approved credentials beyond the role's base requirements. Relocation is negotiable. The lab is well-established, the team is collaborative, and the facility has a strong track record in cardiac and procedural care. There is room to grow here for someone who wants it.
Active RN licensure in Alaska is required. Two to three years of direct Cath Lab experience is required — or a minimum of five years in a high-acuity setting such as an ICU. Candidates must be proficient circulating, monitoring, and managing sedation, including mixing sedation drips. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. An Associate's degree in nursing is the minimum; a BSN is preferred.

The Package
Why Anchorage?
Anchorage sits where the city meets the wild. Framed by the Chugach Mountains to the east and Cook Inlet to the west, it is a functioning city of roughly 300,000 that happens to back up to some of the most dramatic landscape in North America. Commutes average under 20 minutes. The Tony Knowles Coastal Trail runs 11 miles along the waterfront and draws walkers, cyclists, and skaters year-round. Chugach State Park — one of the largest urban parks in the country — begins where the neighborhoods end. In winter, the northern lights are visible from the backyard. Flattop Mountain is a short drive and a quick hike to views that stop you cold. For anyone who wants outdoor access built into everyday life, not just a weekend trip, Anchorage delivers that in a way few cities can match.
The city also offers strong public schools, a growing restaurant and arts scene, and an outdoor culture that draws serious adventurers from across the country. Salmon fishing runs from late spring through summer; Alyeska ski resort is less than an hour south; and the Iditarod starts just outside the city each March. Alaska has no state income tax, and qualifying residents may receive an annual Permanent Fund Dividend. Housing costs remain considerably more manageable than coastal markets, and the quality of life per dollar is genuinely difficult to match in the lower 48. Whether the draw is the mountains, the culture, or the financial picture, Anchorage is worth taking seriously.
