The Opportunity
This is a permanent, direct-hire Cardiac EP Tech opportunity inside a full-service acute care program on Florida's Emerald Coast. One position is available, day shift with rotating weekends. If you're an Electrophysiology Tech with the credentials and the drive to work inside a serious cardiac service line — and you're open to a permanent role in a coastal community most people vacation in — this one is worth reading.
The facility is a 267-bed acute care hospital running a complete cardiac program alongside advanced stroke services, open-heart surgery, and multi-specialty care. Under physician supervision, you'll make procedure preparations, operate electrophysiology equipment, and assist with EP cases across an Adult to geriatric patient population. The schedule is day shift with rotating weekend coverage. One opening is available and the position is moving.
The benefits package here is substantial. Medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with 100% employer match on 3–9% of pay based on years of service, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, education assistance including tuition support and dependent scholarships, paid family leave, free telemedicine, free AirMed medical transportation, an Employee Health Assistance Fund, and a full suite of supplemental and wellness options. Compensation is competitive based on experience. Relocation assistance is considered on a case-by-case basis.
Candidates must hold either a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) credential or be a Registered Radiographer (ARRT) with active Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist licensure. An Associate Degree is required. BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start; ACLS within 90 days. One year of recent acute care EP Tech experience is preferred — new grads with the right credentials are encouraged to apply.

The Package
Why Fort Walton Beach?
Fort Walton Beach sits at the heart of Florida's Emerald Coast, a stretch of Gulf shoreline that draws visitors from all over the country — and holds onto a good number of them permanently. The water lives up to its name: genuine emerald green, bordered by sand so white it looks like snow. Daily life here runs at a pace most people have to travel to find. You can be on the water, out on a charter boat, or into the national forests to the north within minutes of finishing your shift. The region is anchored by outdoor access — fishing, paddleboarding, hiking, and some of the best beaches in the continental U.S. are not amenities you plan around; they're just part of your week.
The surrounding communities — Destin, Niceville, Mary Esther — each bring their own character but share the same strong regional foundation. Okaloosa County schools consistently perform well, which makes this a natural landing spot for families with kids at any stage. Housing costs remain notably more approachable than most Gulf Coast markets, and Florida's lack of a state income tax gives your earnings more reach than comparable positions in other states. Pensacola International Airport is about 45 minutes west; Northwest Florida Beaches International sits roughly an hour east near Panama City. Whether you're chasing a genuine lifestyle upgrade, a quieter pace, or a real community to plant roots in, the Emerald Coast tends to deliver more than most people anticipate before they arrive.
